Wow! A week has already flown by and I cannot believe I’m actually here in Sydney, Australia!

This week has been an awesome start to my semester here. I have been able to do so much and school has not even started!

Day 1 I went to Bondi Beach (a top item on my list checked off pretty quickly!), then went on a dinner cruise around the harbor on a giant yacht with everyone from my program…. casual first day. The next day a group of us went jet boating in the harbor and rode a train all the way back to our apartments drenched from the ride. Day 3 was my personal favorite! Everyone from my program took a trip to the Featherdale Wildlife Park where we spent all morning feeding Wallaby’s and Kangaroos. We also got to hang out with Koalas! After that, we went and hiked the Blue Mountains for a few hours which was beautiful even in the rain. Later that night, a group of us all went out and ended up going to a cool bar called The Soda Factory. I’d say it was a successful first weekend!

This week, I have gotten to spend the day at Manly Beach, another awesome spot. I spent the day watching some of the Australian Open of Surfing and ate fish and chips on the beach which were delicious. So far, I have discovered many cool restaurants and made some really awesome friends which has made my first week here even better. Now I just need to practice my Australian slang!

Australia is so fun that I have decided I will not be returning to the United States (Sorry mom and dad!). I cannot wait to see whats in store for the rest of the semester.

‘Til next time,

Ace
